Retrospective at Festival La Rochelle Cinéma (Fema)

From June 28 to July 7, the Fema will present 20 Akerman films from restored copies, from her New Yorker experimental years with Hotel Monterey (1972) to her final documentary following her mother in Brussels, No Home Movie (2015). The selection also includes the avant-premiere of the brand new restoration of Golden Eighties (1986).

On Friday July 5, assist to a round table, hosted by Charlotte Garson (Cahiers du cinéma) with the presence of Aurore Clément (actress), Stanislas Merhar (actor), Claire Atherton (editor), and Cyril Béghin (author of Chantal Akerman, Œuvre écrite et parlée, Ed. L’Arachnéen). Later that day, Aurore Clément will read passages from Akerman’s novel, Une Famille à Bruxelles.
